Is it forbidden to insert images in postings at ProZ forums? Thread poster: Nikita Kobrin

From time to time I insert images into my postings to make them more vivid. Is it forbidden to do so here? If it's not forbidden why some of the images I had inserted have been recently removed? Regards, Nikita Kobrin

Use of images in the forums is not forbidden. Due to an oversight on my part, some of our new forum code did not "expect" use of the image (img) tag. I will correct it. It would help if you can point to an affected thread... | | | Jack Doughty United Kingdom Local time: 16:09 Russian to English + ... In memoriam How to insert images? | Jun 6, 2003 |
Would someone please tell me HOW to insert an image in a forum posting? I tried to do this once a long time ago after getting some advice from Natalie, but I never succeeded in doing it. Also, how do people manage to use bold, italics, different-sized fonts etc. in forum postings? Even if I do the whole thing first in Word and then insert it, all these features disappear.

Hi Jack, Gianfranco Manca has written an interesting and clear how-to (link available from our profile page in Edit mode --> Edit your profile). Please, click on Reply with Quote and you'll see what I have entered ... a little selection. (Not all code seem to work though) Giuliana [Edited at 2003-06-06 14:25] [Edited at 2003-06-06 14:26]

There's something missing here, isn't it? | Jun 6, 2003 |
We had in the forums a link to the rules of Etiquette (that is still here) but also another to the forum FAQ, and I can't see it any more. I had a look to the general FAQ, but there's no explanation on how to make smilies or change the fonts. 8. Forums 8.1. What are the ProZ.com forums? 8.2. What are the rules of the forums? 8.3. I think it would be easier to find this Tutorial if it were under "Community/Howtos" (it isn't - I've looked) but I found it from your instructions so now I'm seeing if it works for me. Bold & Italic worked, center, underline & font size didn't, but that's some progress anyway. Thanks again.
