Hello everyone

What are the URLs for Trados' official help forums?

Thanks
Samuel

SDL Community Feb 1, 2017

The main URL is http://community.sdl.com but this covers every product and every group we have in SDL, so a bit like landing at http://proz.com

The link from Dan is correct for what we call the TP (Translation Productivity) Forums and this includes forums for things like:

- Studio
- MultiTerm
- Passo

- Passolo
- GroupShare
- Regex and XPath (just common technologies we support in the products)
- Speech to Text

An easy link to remember is http://xl8.one as it's short and simple. Takes you to the TP groups. If you're interested in developing, as there are the very occasional posts on APIs in here, there is a also a dedicated group for that too, and it is fairly active: https://community.sdl.com/developers/language-developers/

You might also find this post useful as it explains a little some of the things people ask about as you can use a wysiwyg formatting, add images/videos, without needing to use code or store files somewhere else.

And something else worth noting is that the SDL Community is seen by everyone in SDL (product teams, development, sales, marketing... everyone), so it's probably the best place to report things you believe are bugs and ask product questions that SDL are probably the only ones who could answer.

Regards

Paul
Why not try the new SDL Community

Installation Error 1618 SDL Trados 2019 Feb 13

Good afternoon,
I am experiencing some problems on installing SDL Trados on my laptop (ASUS, Windows 10) because the message "Package Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable SP1 cannot be installed" Error number:1618." keeps on appearing. I have tried installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable from the Microsoft website, but it didn't work as well. Is there somebody who experienced the same issue? If yes, do you know how to solve it?
