A month or so ago, I received a similar scam letter via my profile, and I reported it and the staff seemed to want to know about this (although I suppose nothing can be done). | | | briant Local time: 13:49 French to English "David" could have used a translator. | Jan 19, 2007 |
And that's no the only comedy in this... There are some who actually lead online scammers on for a few e-mails, with great comedic effect. By the end, I almost feel sorry for some of them. Here's one case: http://www.xach.com/togo/ There is some mildly strong language at the end

Hi Patricia, I already filed a support ticket, thank you. They suggested me to post it here also, so to warn other Proz.com users who may receive the same scam letter. Have a nice evening, Andreina | |

One night I couldn't get no sleep and I read a few articles about e-mail scams. I stumbled on some sites that had published all the going correspondence, made by people who had great fun to f**k around with the spammers. I must tell you, I had some of the best laughs of my life, coz some of them did manage to rip off the so called "Nigerian spammers" for real LOL. I don't have all the time in world though to engage in such correspondence though therefore I simply delete... See more One night I couldn't get no sleep and I read a few articles about e-mail scams. Andreina, you're welcome. I'm glad you posted this--it brings back some funny memories. "If joining your faith is what it takes to help me of course, I am ready to joing you. I'm from a good christian family. I will do anything you want me to do in the faith. Don't forget that I have to transfer the money to your account as urgently as possible. Send me your account details. I hope to read your mail soon..." Poor guy is a bit desperate. This is nonetheless, "comedy gold."
