This morning I received the following email (which plays on human greed...) through my Proz.com profile:

) and ask her to send you a total sum of $850,000.00 which I
kept for you as compensation for all the past efforts and
attempts to assist me in this matter. I appreciated your

touch with my secretary and instruct her where to send the
cheque to you.
Please do let me know immediately you receive it so that
we can share the joy after all the pressure at that time.

A month or so ago, I received a similar scam letter via my profile, and I reported it and the staff seemed to want to know about this (although I suppose nothing can be done).

And that's no the only comedy in this... There are some who actually lead online scammers on for a few e-mails, with great comedic effect. By the end, I almost feel sorry for some of them.

One night I couldn't get no sleep and I read a few articles about e-mail scams. I stumbled on some sites that had published all the going correspondence, made by people who had great fun to f**k around with the spammers.
I must tell you, I had some of the best laughs of my life, coz some of them did manage to rip off the so called "Nigerian spammers" for real LOL.

Poor guy is a bit desperate. This is nonetheless, "comedy gold."
