Even if I am flattered being found "interesting", it somewhat bothers me to know that the spammers actually register themselves now to able to send this kind of messages

Action in such cases Dec 27, 2008

Dear Anneli and all who encounter such,

in such cases it is better not to post in the forum, but to notify the Staff via Support Request (or on Holidays- as now) to notify any of jobs' moderators (at any given moment please see who's online):

Thank you! Dec 28, 2008

I did in fact report the user before posting the message (and I am very grateful to Proz who gives the link for reporting with every PM you get). I just thought it was worth mentioning as usually the spammers are not desperate enough to register on a site.
But thank you and feel free to close/cancel the topic!

Well I just got spammed by proz itself about an incomplete entry in my main language combination in the new GBK glossary. I happen to think the GBK is the dumbest project of 2008... let's just say I did not contribute.

Well at least you can unsubscribe, but I wonder who thought spamming your own users would be a good idea.

If you don't want to receive notifications about GBK questions, you should simply check the option "Ignore glossary-building questions " and click on "Save settings" in the KudoZ dashboard.

Enrique

The GBK notification should not have come at all Dec 28, 2008

Thank you. I already unsubscribed through the link in the mail, though.

The thing is, that message should not have come at all. When I registered at proz the GBK glossary didn't exist so I did not accept to get any emails about it. Unsolicited mail, i.e. spam is not in good taste from a purportedly serious site. It's actually illegal in my country.
