My dear colleagues,

I am also a tour guide and a tour organiser,as welll as a manager of a travel agency(besides being a translator-interpreter).I am registered at several sites also in the quality of a tour guide.

My dear colleagues,

I am also a tour guide and a tour organiser,as welll as a manager of a travel agency(besides being a translator-interpreter).I am registered at several sites also in the quality of a tour guide.
Now I am receiving about 1000 spam letters from 1 particular agency I am regularly doing business with(because they are relatively cheap and it worth for me to cooperate with them) but recently, about a week ago they began sending me about 1000 irrelevant offers and different spam letters daily.I told them politely to stop this and refrain from sending me such offers-without any result so far. They are otherwise correct and an excellent travelling partner of me and our company. What would you do?

Are you sure it's the agency itself which is doing this? Aug 14, 2008

Have they admitted it? I just wonder if some other spam merchant is cloning their email address.

It's not the agency who does it ... Aug 14, 2008

Why on earth should they?

I'm sure they're not to be blamed but are a victim themselves because somebody hijacked their mail server and is now sending spam mails in their name.

Well... Hm? Aug 14, 2008

So,guys,what can I do?
I am afraid that they are to be blamed about this spamming scandal, because all the messages they send me have one thing in common: they are all related to travelling and different kinds of journeys (and they are not speaking about Viagra,Cialis,or other drugs, and not about anything else, but travelling... to Hawaii,to Dubai and other exotic places like that)

Set up one or more filters in your email Aug 14, 2008

Set up a filter in your email client and send all this traffic to a specific folder or, depending on your needs, directly to the spam folder.
The details vary according to the specific email client that you use, but they should be described in the application help.

By the way, setting up filters based on subject, sender, or other parameter is a convenient way to manage mailing lists or other volume email traffic.
You could separate private emails from all traffic related to translation and traveling, and also notifications from KudoZ, Forum, and Jobs into separate folders.

bye
Gianfranco
