I work mainly as a freelancer, but occasionally outsource work and manage projects involving about 20 translators. The "job - connect" option included in the corporate membership seems to be a great tool for that, so I am considering of becoming a corporate member. However, I wonder if I will still be listed as a freelancer in the freelance directory. In other words, is it possible to benefit from the advantages of both individual and corporate memberships?

What I noticed with some of my clients who have corporate profiles on ProZ is that they have a corporate profile for the company, and then they have individual freelancer profiles linked to it. So, if someone is looking for a translator here, they will find the individuals in the directory but not necessarily the company. However, the corporate profile does list the freelancer profiles associated with it (contact me if you would like to see an example of this). The thing I don't know is whether ... See more
What I noticed with some of my clients who have corporate profiles on ProZ is that they have a corporate profile for the company, and then they have individual freelancer profiles linked to it. So, if someone is looking for a translator here, they will find the individuals in the directory but not necessarily the company. However, the corporate profile does list the freelancer profiles associated with it (contact me if you would like to see an example of this). The thing I don't know is whether the freelancer profiles are considered by ProZ as separate entities or if they are billed as part of the corporate profile - that is, I am not sure if you would have to pay separately for the corporate account and the freelance member account.

All the best!

Thank you, Viktoria,
I searched the directory a bit and saw that corporate members were also listed among freelancers, so I decided to take this option.

Yes - just be sure that your profile type option is set to 'both' Dec 20, 2007

Hi Attila,

As long as your profile type is 'both', your name will continue to appear in the freelance directory.
