Is it possible to check how many people visit your website a day/a week/a month?

You might try the Counter service on my Page.

You are given a lot of counters, your choice

Though I don't know my users with this service, I think I know now who will be my next visitor !)

Thanks everyone for your help! For now I use a simple free counter and it works perfectly. Maybe later I will use the sitemeter.
