Hi all
we have a possibility to hold the First ProZ.com Cart Championship ever in Dortmund or a neigbour city.
However, such an event will not be very cheap. So before I start making plans and booking the event, I just want to know how many of us would be ready to pay about 60 Euro for such an event. Possible locations could be Dortmund itself, where the conference is held, Herne or Essen - neighbour cites. The prices in Herne or Essen are slightly lower, but we would then need some transport there.
The location in Dortmund is not far from the conference location. Dortmund has the longest track with 1600 meters. All other tracks are not longer than 600 meters.
I can assure you such an event is big fun for all, who do like driving. So please tell me, if you would be willing to participate in such a competition.

It will be more likely if it's during Ramadan (13 September to 11 October) because that's the time when I don't necessarily want to be here...
However, Jerzy, don't move the date because of me as I said I might, my decision will depend on other factors, too...

Idealerweise wären wir 20 oder mehr. Dann würde dies zwei (oder auch mehr) Rennen in Gruppen und dann ein Rennen der jeweiligen Gruppen bedeuten. Wenn wir hier genug Leute sind, würde ich die Details mit dem Bahnbetreiber ausmachen. Daher möchte ich mich bitte auch nicht auf die 60,00 Euro festlegen, denn bei längerer Bahnbenutzung könnte es ggf. mehr werden. Ich weiß, ist kein billiger Spaß - dafür eine Mordsgaudi
Die Bahn in Dortmund ist eine der längsten (wenn nicht die längste) in NRW. Mit 1600 Metern Länge wird man schon ordentlich am Lenkrad zu kurbeln haben.
Nach dem Rennen dürfen wir uns schön auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt dann die Birne mit Glühwein volldröhnen, eher wir dann ins benachbarte (dem Weihnachtsmarkt, nicht der Kartbahn) Restaurant essen gehen.
