New ProZ.com term search is STILL totally unreliable!

The new term search that the site implemented a while back still does not work and is totally unreliable.

E.g., search for ‘navolgbaarheid’ (which I know is in the glossaries, because I just put it there myself), using:

1. http://www.proz.com/search/ (the old term search)... See more

E.g., search for ‘navolgbaarheid’ (which I know is in the glossaries, because I just put it there myself), using:

1. http://www.proz.com/search/ (the old term search)
2. http://www.proz.com/search/?es=1 (the new ProZ.com term search)

Indeed, as with god knows how many other terms, you will not find it if you use the new and improved search interface. Thankfully there is a ‘Go back to the old term search’ button, so I can easily go back to the one that works.

When is this going to be fixed? I suggest adding a beta label until then.

And another question. Is there any way to display the search results in the same 4 useful categories as in the old system?

I just did a search in the old system, and the results were divided into these categories:

– KudoZ (39 results)
– KudoZ open glossary (35 results)
– Personal glossaries (73 results)
– Wikiwords (10 results)

Running the same search in the new interface lumps all my results in one category:

– All ... See more

It seems that there was a problem with terms that were added within the last few days being included in the new term search results. This problem has now been fixed, and you should now see the term "navolgbaarheid" among the results using the new term search: http://www.proz.com/search/?es=1 . Thanks for pointing this out.

As for your other question, note that you can select from which resources you'd like the results to appear by expanding the "Advanced options" and checking the "Resources to search" section.

I should also mention that you can display the search results by resource by checking the "Separate results by resource" box in the search settings of the new term search: http://www.proz.com/search/?es=1
