I've raised my rate by a modest half a euro cent for new clients who have contacted me recently but have kept it unchanged for existing long-term clients.

I assess and adjust my rates beginning of each year....I don't always increase them though

I'd like to, but... (sigh).

Keeping also a USD account, currency fluctuations don't affect me that much because I usually have a little flexibility to wait until the conversion rate is more in my favor.

However, I have worked less for lower-paying clients and more for the ones who pay higher rates. My lowest-paying client seems to have given up on me, as their deadlines were usually tight and I was always busy with other clients!

I quote slightly higher rates for new clients than I did a few years ago - depending on the type of work - and some disappear instantly, but some send the job anyway and pay my rate.

I have been steadily raising my rates for a while, but not necessarily because of currency fluctuations.

Actually my direct clients adjusted my rates a little higher even without my permission or a notice... No regret, no remorse though)

We charge in pounds so there's no currency risk to us. Let customers, who are bigger, take the hit.
