It is standard business practice - all emails I send to my clients have a line at the end saying something like "Do confirm receipt". This is to deprive clients from the excuse of later claiming that they never received the translation or my invoice.
Most of the time, I send the invoice along with the translated material, so that clients can't deny having received it. But when the translation has been done online, I insist they confirm receipt of the invoice.
