I just received one of many scams that all land in my undesireable mail folder by default. Once in a while, I go through to send the "Nigerian" type letters to a Canadian agency.
Anyways, this one is an automatic translation (or some part is), and the punch is at the end. Have a look at the name of the author.

I had one of those not long ago, and while I would have loved to have taken it seriously, I looked up the organisation on Google to find the same reference numbers in several postings. The scary thing is that once you send banking details, you've had it!

My husband received it in his e-mail address (he receives many others of the kind often) about a year ago.
We answered the e-mail just for the fun of it. I wrote as if I was him and said that I was very happy to have been chosen amongst many others. Well, the e-mail was quite ironic. We never had a reply. LOL!

I response to the person who answered this lottery scam/Nigerian 419 scam please see 419eater.com for more details (and lots of funny stuff), but the guys running these things should not know your real email address (and certainly no personal information). They are potentially dangerous criminals. They also sell your valid email address to others in the "network".

And I would never do that. I replied to it just for the fun. It was also the first ans last time I bothered answering to it because I know these scams are a waist of time... and money. Nobody gives anything to anyone just like that!

A guy I know got really annoyed by all these Nigerian scam mails so he sent back a sarcastic response - anonymous of course. But the spammers were smart and used his IP address to get his telephone number and address - so he got hassled by foreigners phoning him up at all hours of the day (and night!) asking him for money.
True story.
