It costs the scammers practically nothing to send this spam email to hundreds and thousands of people, so even a 0.001% success rate is fine with them. | |

I note with interest that the copyright on this material expired recently. I am also curious as to why gender would be an issue (item 6). In all my professional and personal dealing with offshore banks, no one ever mentioned the word "sex" (although there was a certain amount of discussion about the weather involved). They also request info about one's occupation (7). What would that have to do with the prize? Perhaps as much as the gender has to do with it? Just guessing.
