To start the day off with a chuckle, I'd like to share this email that sailed into my inbox.
Isn't it nice to be rich for a change?

Poor Mrs. Maureen Mbe doesn't seem to know that her name gets uncountable google hits identifying her as a professional scammer.

Shouldn't that be, "Western Union Campaign for Global Economic Crisis
Eradication (WUCGECE)"?

Just nitpicking.

Believe it or not, people do fall for it. It costs the scammers practically nothing to send this spam email to hundreds and thousands of people, so even a 0.001% success rate is fine with them.

Hi Allison,

perhaps you'd like to share your perfectly correct correction ( ) with the sender.
That might increase her success.

Changes to this e-mail are possible. Jan 17, 2012

I note with interest that the copyright on this material expired recently.

I am also curious as to why gender would be an issue (item 6). In all my professional and personal dealing with offshore banks, no one ever mentioned the word "sex" (although there was a certain amount of discussion about the weather involved).

Thanks for the chuckle, Thayenga.

Occupation??? Jan 18, 2012

They also request info about one's occupation (7). What would that have to do with the prize? Perhaps as much as the gender has to do with it? Just guessing.

Maybe that's why they let the copyright expire, although I wasn't aware of the fact that even massive scam can be copyrighted.

You're welcome, Allison....
