I just thought that this will be something good to share:

News of the earthquake in Haiti is heart-wrenching, but the efforts being made in its

News of the earthquake in Haiti is heart-wrenching, but the efforts being made in its
aftermath are heart-warming. Almost immediately after the ground opened up, the hearts of
people around the globe opened up. Support, from donations to prayers, continues to be
offered.

Still we ask, “What can we do to make a real impact?” The harsh reality is that we are
limited in what we can do, a world away from others. However, the disaster reminds us that
there is much we can do in our own corner of the world … and that even the smallest act
can often make a huge impact.

Throughout history, one thing has withstood natural disasters of all shapes and sizes – and
that is the human spirit. Shake your corner of the world today by exercising your human
spirit. Forgive the person who has hurt you. Offer a smile to the stranger who clearly needs
it. Show patience with others. Seek to understand people who are different from you. Offer
to help before being asked. Give your time or talent to better someone else’s life.
In this sobering wake of the world moving us, let us each commit this week to attempting to
move our world.

Reflection: What can I do right here, right now, to impact others in a positive way?
