Dear All,
I'm programming an acquisitions trip to Paris for the later part of this year. Any recommendations on where to see and compare reference material for translators working out of French?
All suggestions welcome.

La Maison du Dictionnaire
Sep 23, 2009
I don't live in Paris and have never been to this shop, but I have ordered from them and they have a huge range:
La Maison du Dictionnaire, 98 bvd du Montparnasse, 75014 Paris.
I'd also recommend going to Gibert Jeune-land, Place St Michel, for more directionless browsing (the second-hand section is excellent). I can easily waste a day there. ▲ Collapse

Librairie Attica

Hello,
You also may find some interesting dictionaries at the Librairie Attica, 106 bd Richard Lenoir, 75011 Paris, Tue-Sat 10 am-7pm. http://www.attica.fr. After shooping, don't miss a romantic walk on the Canal Saint-Martin. Enjoy Cheers,
Catherine
