Hello Prozians, I can't say I wasn't sad not to see my blog about the prospect of me writing a translation treatise get my blogs on my Facebook business profile more views after I mentioned it on the ProZ forums. Anyway, my dream of becoming one of the great translators / translation scholars of my time remains burning bright, and I have been writing several more blogs on George Trail Translator over the past week or so, which I encourage you to read. He thought to himself, ahh the first day of autumn how sad and depressed will not be unfeeling my fellow Prozians, it is my duty to do that which has to be done and cheer them up with my entertaining proze. So congratulations - he certainly fooled some of us! Personally I'm impressed that the amount of work he put into it (three versions of his website don't forget!). I'm sure we would have twigged earlier if he'd waited until next spring (somewhere between the 31 March and 2 April... A long, long time ago I used to participate in an online political forum, which was occasionally blessed by rare visit from someone calling themselves "Murkin Patriot". Murkin seemed to be an angry, dim-witted heartland conservative, writing in all caps with spelling errors, but it wasn't long before the humor shone through – Murkin was a master (and probably NSFW) parody troll.
