Looks better now. Aug 28, 2011

Hi, I think the website looks much more appealing now. Some minor changes for you to consider:

1.) maybe you should write "communication" with a capital "c". All your other fields of specialization start with a capital letter, too.
2.) "I am proud to say that I am special." I'm sure you are. I would simply write "I am:" and then continue with 1. - 3.
3.) Think about the colors you use on your "services" page. Try to copy and paste a "real" arrow from your word-processi

4.) If you are part of any social networks (linkedin etc.), maybe include a link to the, too.

I hope your business will prosper!

1) Done.
2) Done.
3) Not sure if you cateched the final change. Also I am not sure what "real arraw" means !
4) I will consider that in future.

Thank you again for your helpful comments !

More suggestions Aug 28, 2011

Hi,
I think the new pictures are much better than the previous ones.

Testimonials: did you ask permission to quote the people who recommend your services? I know you took this info from the ProZ page but it isn't exactly the same. I would ask permission to quote them.

"I am specialized in Translation, proofreading and reviewing."
I don't understand the need for a capital "T" in "translation".

"Expert using SDL Trados Studio 2009."

"Expert using SDL Trados Studio 2009."
I think the standard expression is something like "Expert user of SDL Trados Studio 2009". "Expert using" sounds weird to me.

"currently I am studying".
Shouldn't it be "I am currently studying"?

"I am accredited from Arab Professional Translators Society".
Shouldn't it be "I am accredited from the Arab Professional Translators Society"?

"I am also in my way to join the ATA as an associate member."
This sounds weird. To be an ATA member you just need to pay the fee. To be an ATA certified member you need to pass an examination. Which one is the case? I would be more specific on this one, since potential US based customers are aware of ATA procedures.

"It is better to see, isn't it?"
This sounds a bit naive to me.

Hi Ali,

I just saw your website and I really like it. It's clear and to the point, the pictures speak for themselves.

My suggestion is "accredited by".

Congratulations and good luck!

Lucia and Laura, your comments are valuable.

It seems that I should have taken more time writing the content.

Thanks again.

Also, I am now contacting my clients requesting their approval on quoting their testimonials.

So much better! Aug 28, 2011

You know, I have been a member of Proz for almost ten years, and I didn't really get to the forums until a few months ago. While here I've learned so many invaluable things. Seeing your website improve was yet another great learning experience. Thank you for sharing this process with us.

You are aware that your CV page doesn't yet show a CV, right?

The new layout is much cleaner. I like the new images.

Congratulations!

Yes I know it was empty, I have just done it.

I am happy to know that you like the (new?) website. I hope the agencies like it too

The problem Aug 28, 2011

Jürgen Werner wrote:

is as follows: the user should first see a "top" or "first" page where
he needs to choose the language. Accordingly he will be redirected to either version.

The web service that I used to create my site (weebly.com) is graphics based, meaning
that you do not do any programming. Not that I do not know how to program but the short
developing period attracted me a lot.

Now it seems that this service does not support hierarchical pages within a site. I have
contacted the support and I am waiting their reply...

------- Update ------------

OK, I think I have fixed it but I do not want the menu to show up in the firs page, there the user should see nothing but "English" and "Arabic" links. The problem with weeby.com is that you cannot change the headers of the page, unless you play a lot with the HTML and CSS stuff, which is not a good solution because the idea of the service is 'graphical designing' i.e. no programming.

I am sorry for steering the topic from its focus.

EN 15038 Aug 29, 2011

One statement on your website says:

PRO Translator [In accordance with EN 15038]

Do you know EN15038, have you read the standard, do you comply with the processes mentioned in it?

I know. And I know that being EN 15038 certified is something different from
PRO "certificate". But I think I am honest when I say "In accordance with".
