HI Evert, bedankt. Dit is heel interessant. Ik ben momenteel Master en Margarita aan het lezen (in het Engels) en kan op die website wel wat info vinden over Bulgakov.

Excellent choice and quite a coincidence...I once almost decided to write my doctoral thesis on the Master and Margarita. Excellent example of a Menippian satire. You should consider reading \'Heart of a Dog\' as well.
Ellendea Proffer of Ardis ought to be able to tell you a few things about Bulgakov. Do you know that Bulgakov went blind at the end of his life and that he dictated part of his M&M? Read more at the site mentioned or e.g. at http://cr.middlebury.edu/public/russian/bulgakov/public_html/
and if your Russian is OK, you may want to read:

I shouldn\'t recommend the English translation to anyone, though. It falls so far behind the original, and occasionally it\'s completely out of line. | | | Jack Doughty United Kingdom Local time: 05:56 Russian to English + ... In memoriam Çàìå÷àòåëüíî! | Oct 11, 2002 |
