The "Slow Dance" poem was written not by a "terminally ill young girl in a New York Hospital" who wanted "as her dying wish to send a letter telling everyone to live their life to the fullest," but by David L. Weatherford, an adult male child psychologist.

.... but the scam behind the poem in no way detracts from the message per se, which we would all do well to ponder...

Is it sad that we cannot trust the sources anymore because the sources have become unreliable, or is it sad they we are now aware the sources were never that reliable anyway?
