How to work as a freelancer from Dubai?

I am moving to Dubai with my husband who got a job there and I want to continue my work as a freelance translator from there.
I am trying to research if I need a special visa, pay any fees etc. but the information I find is not easy to figure out.

Is there anyone here who works as a freelancer from Dubai who could help me figure out how I get established as a freelance translator there?
I am reading a lot about freezones but I do not really understand it.
