What does "website translation" imply?

Dear colleagues,

Occasionally I see job postings asking for "translation of a website with xxx words"; does this kind of transaltion job mean text translation, or does it involve text exporting and re-importing, pasting or anything other than just the translation of the website content?

It can mean anything from simply the text which the client sends to you in a word document to translating hidden text in the .php source code. With this type of job it's important to clarify exactly what's expected and not take anything on beyond your capabilities.
