Hello,
I have just finished my translation degree and after having applied for freelance work, I have been sent a test translation, but the company has requested that I provide my translator's rates. However, with no practical experience of working as a translator, and with no idea what the average rate is, I have no idea what I should propose!
Could somebody please tell me what the average rate for a first time translator in Spain and Portugal is? I would be working from Castilian Spanish to British English and European Portuguese to British English.
If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be extremely grateful!
