Frequently I see job posts in proz.com where people announces payments through "wire transfer". What exactly does it mean or how does it work? Thanks in advance for your answer(s). Best regards, Perry

wire transfer = bank transfer

common bank transfer from your client's bank account into yours. One of the most trustworthy payment mode, IMHO.
Several data required - account no, bank, ISBN
Fees depending on several factors, with the sum transferred being the least important of them.

And much faster as compared to mailed checks (at least here in Ukraine)!

IBAN - International Bank Account Number (not ISBN)
The fee for international wire transfers may range from $20 (possibly less) to $50 (and possibly higher), depending on the location of your client. In any case my advise is that you clear out what this fee is and who pays it (either you or your customer) before accepting the job.
