Hello ProZnians,
I have been given a Dutch description of Ophthalmologist/Optometrist training of which my client needs a translation for certification in the States. Like a very broadly specified syllabus. I have been given a Dutch description of Ophthalmologist/Optometrist training of which my client needs a translation for certification in the States. Like a very broadly specified syllabus. The good part is that, for once, I can take my time! Otherwise I would have had to turn it down as it is a bad copy of a fax resent via eFax, so cannot scan it to save time. This translation is more technical than medical and contains an awful lot of jargon. Even if you get this message later, please feel free to answer as this translation will be spread out over several weeks. I might run into something that you may be able to shed some light on.
Quick Google searching provided me with equivalent colleges, but, of course, no Dutch-English terminology. I am hoping that at least one of you has translated this type of material in the past, and could be so kind to provide me with the names of reference materials, i.e. Optometrist dictionaries and bookstores where I may find these, websites, anything where I can get the terminology with respect to the instruments and expressions used in the Optometrist industry.
Looking forward to your reactions,
Marijke

Hallo Marijke,
Deze site heeft een Optometry Dictionary. Ik heb echter nu geen tijd om te checken of die al dan niet online te raadplegen is. Ik hoop het voor jou in ieder geval.
Succes
