Ik word binnenkort in Nederland beëdigd. Ik zou graag willen weten hoe zo'n beediging in zijn werk gaat. Wie kan mij daar iets over vertellen? (of eigenlijk: schrijven. Ik ben benieuwd..

De beediging zelf stelt niet veel voor, je gaat samen met andere candicaten voor een rechter zitten, en je zegt iets van ,ja', naar eigen keuze aangevuld met een eed of niet, en dan ga je weer naar huis. Als je uitvoerigere informatie wilt, op 12 juni is een hele cursusdag over de nieuwe beedigingswet. (Trouwens moet je er ook niet van opkijken dat de andere candicaten bv. makelaars of andere beroepen die een beediging kennen zijn.) Groetjes, Susanne

Hoi Susanne, dank je wel voor je reactie! Je mag dus zelf kiezen of je een eed opzegt of niet? Ik ben namelijk vooral benieuwd naar die eed... Op http://www.ktv.rvr.org/bk/BK_pdf/Wbtv%20in%20Staatsblad.pdf staat onder artikel 14 de eed. Weet jij misschien of dit DE eed is?

Je mag dus zelf kiezen of je een eed opzegt of niet?
Standaard procedure. Uit respect voor je religeuze gevoelens (of het gebrek eraan) mag je voor een Nederlandse rechtbank altijd kiezen tussen eed en belofte. In Duitsland inmiddels trouwens ook.

Bij mijn beëdiging werd de uitgebreide eed door de rechter voorgelezen, waarop de vertaler alleen hoefde te antwoorden met "Zo waarlijk helpe mij God almachtig" (eed) of "Dat beloof ik" (belofte). Maar misschien was dat omdat we toen met een hele grote groep waren en het anders te lang zou duren.

Bij ons ging het ook zo. Er waren iets van 10-12 mensen.

Beëdiging in NL, vertaling voor Duitsland

Er is me nog een andere vraag te binnen geschoten met betrekking tot beëdiging:
Ik wordt in Nederland beëdigd. Mag ik dan ook voor bijv. een Duitse rechtbank vertalen? (Mijn Wohnsitz is in Duitsland!)
