I have just exported an XML document from Déjà Vu. I now find that all the accents are &eactue style, which means I can't open the document in an good XML browser such as Opera.
It transpires that this is because the file is written in UTF8 character encoding.
I've looked on DVX for a feature to set the character encodoing to something more acceptable, but can't find one. Any ideas, or suggestions of quick fixes on the exported document?
Thanks

Click the icon to open the Project Explorer. In the right-hand bottom quarter of the Explorer panel select the file that you want to export. Properties windows opens on the right side of DVX. In the 4th line from the top you can see "Encoding". Click in its drop-down menu and chose Unicode UTF-8 from the list.
BR,
Vesna

Thanks - you've helped me find the character-encoding box at least !
I think I've solved it now, but I had to hack the original XML file to change the character encoding specification, as well as define the encoding for the exported document.

Perhaps you had to import this file by selecting UTF-8 encoding as well...
