Hello,

I have 2 computers (1 desktop, 1 laptop), both with Win XP and Déjà Vu X. I'm considering working with Linux (Ubuntu) on my desktop PC, in order to learn & start working with linux.

As far as I know DVX does not support Linux based OS, but sometimes Linux community offers some alternatives. I know about Omega T, and I triedit too, although it's a nice program it cannot compete with the professional version of DVX.

Is there any way to make DVX run

Is there any way to make DVX run on Linux? Should I install a double OS (Win XP + Linux) in order to be satisfied?

Thanks!

Joris,

Have you tried Heartsome? It has more features than OmegaT, and also runs on Linux. It is commercial, but not expensive. Details at www.heartsome.net.

Did you ever find out if it was possible? I am sure Heartsome is nice but it does mean more money after all.

DVX on Linux not possible Apr 20, 2007

DVX is based on MS Access 2000. So it is very firmly rooted in the Windows world (at the moment)
It will not run on Linux.

You will need to have a Windows Installation to use DVX.

Kind regards
