Hello everyone, Ok, I just finished a rather lengthy project for a client with Déja Vu X2 and I sent the client the finished product in Word doc. format. They are requesting a TMX file for the Trados TM database. When I went online to see how to do this all of the references I was able to find were for older versions of Deja vu. I can not figure out how to do this. Please help! Thanks!
Hi Robert, Quite simple open your TM in DéjàVuX2 and under File Select ->Export and the wizard will guide you through the various steps. HTH, Bernard | | | Robert Long Portugal Local time: 07:51 Member (2012) Spanish to English + ... TOPIC STARTER No TM used initially. | Jan 25, 2013 |
Hi Bernard, Thank you for your quick response. I didn't use a TM for the assignment, as I was not provided with one. I just opened the file in Deja Vu and started translating. Can you do a .tmx export from Déjà vu?" So that's where I'm stuck. ▲ Collapse | | | Selcuk Akyuz Türkiye Local time: 09:51 English to Turkish + ...
Don't send your complete TM! Open your project, remove the current TM, create and attach a new (project) TM. Send your project to TM. Then close your project and open the new TM. Export as TMX.

Create an empty TM for your project, then under Project -> Select Send Project to TM (Alt+F12) and export it. Bernard | | | Robert Long Portugal Local time: 07:51 Member (2012) Spanish to English + ... TOPIC STARTER
It seems my curse of being technological inept is continuing. I pressed Alt + F12 and when I select "ok" it tells me "0 segment pairs processed, 0 segment pairs added, 0 segment pairs updated". I've created an empty TM for this, but I'm not sure how to get the project to populate it.
Have you validated your segments with Alt+Down Arrow? Segments should be ticked. What is the status of your segments in the target language? Hover the cursor over the target column should tell you what the status is. What boxes are ticked in the Send Project to TM?

All of the boxes have been validated. Still nothing happens when I try to send the project to TM.

Can you send me the file, so I can have a look at it. Is the TM you created enabled under Project -> Properties -> Translation Memories
