I have Trados on my computer and am considering downloading and installing a trial version of Deja Vu on the same machine. I would like to know if these two programs work well on the same machine, I mean, functioning well without causing problem to each other. Any input would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

Trados & Déjà Vu on the same computer

There are no conflicts. I run DV 3, DVX and Trados 5.5 on several machines without difficulty. In fact, I often segment MS Word files with Trados and translate them with Déjà Vu (with the \"ignore hidden text\" feature activated), then do the final \"clean\" with Trados. This is a procedure for cases where one is supposed to use Trados for the job, but you prefer to use DV. In general I find DV better, except for alignments.
