Please could you help me with the following query:

I recently purchased a new laptop, and managed to install DVX successfully.

However, every time I try to update a row / save a translation / press F5, the following error message appears:

"dvxUI has encountered a problem.
Module: frmProjectView
Procedure: UpdateRowLine
Automation error, there is no connection for this automation ID"

I transferred the same translation to my old laptop, and encountered no problems.

Hello there,

My OS is Windows XP, and I'm using Deja Vu X version 7.0.284.

I installed Office 2007 on my new laptop, and then re-installed
Office 2003 as I thought the error might be due to incompatibility
problems. Neither solved the problem!

Interestingly, the rows ARE updated, despite the system crashing. I keep
re-launching DVX and entering translations on a piece-meal basis, which
is proving time-consuming.

Update to newest build Jun 8, 2008

284 is not the most recent build. Get the newest one from the Atril site and let me bet that this will solve your problem.

Many thanks for your replies. I've just upgraded to the latest build (version 7.5.303?), but unfortunately this hasn't resolved the problem.

My old laptop comes installed with 7.0.284 and is still working OK.

Interestingly, my new laptop keeps rejecting the DVX Dongle, informing me that "Dinkey Dongle Installation Disk" is required.

I'm not fully IT-literate (as you can no doubt tell), so I'm a bit stumped!

Hello again,

As a last resort...I've plumped for the Typical installation (rather than Complete).

If that doesn't solve the problem, I'll shut down the laptop and take the dog for a walk!

Sorry to bombard you with yet another update...the Typical installation seems to have done the trick.

I've just tried Pretranslate, and the system didn't crash.

Fingers crossed...
