I was asked to do a sample test by a person from this site.
Please could you help if you have any idea about this company? Is it an agency or not?
I have to be cautious not to be trapped.

I think you should be extremely cautious with this offer.The reason: there is nothing about translation on this site, they are advertising e-mail and web page redirection services. I would think twice.

\"www.4-T.fr\" is an incomplete URL to a website in France. Are you sure this is the URL the asker gave you?
We had a discussion in the Chinese Forum about sample translation. I suggest you should read everyone\'s messages in that folder about sample translation.
It seems to me the asker should give you more info about his or her company. Before taking any sample translation from this person, you are entitled to ask for more info directly from this asker. Don\'t be shy about it.

- Test translations should never exceed 200-250 words
- Depending on your qualifications and experience, you are fully entitled to charge for test translations (e.g., someone who\'s been in the business for 10 years, maybe accredited, etc.)
- Tell them that you will do a short (actual) translation for them, to be invoiced as a \"minimum job\" (the proof of the pudding is in the eating).<
