译完后的PPT少了3,6MB

今天翻译了一个PPT文档。客户给的文档是7.2MB，译完以后的文档却只有3,6MB，少了3,6MB。我仔细对比了源文和译文，除了原来的德文变成了中文以外，其它的应该是一模一样的。

所以我百思不得其解，会不会是丢了什么重要的格式？

我也遇到过类似的现象，也有些惶惶，唯恐丢失什么重要格式或内容，但好像从没客户因此找回来过。而且如果你用不同的Powerpoint版本保存同一文件，所得文件的大小有时也会出现较大差异。如果不放心的话，只能仔细检查一遍。

Excel 2007 估计不会有这个问题。Office 2007 使用了标准的 xml 格式保存文件。老版本的 Office 使用的是微软自己的格式，同一个文件，即使未做多少修改，另存一下文件大小就会有改变。另外同样一个 Word 文档，保存成 .doc 要比保存成 .docx 一般要大好几倍。

详细点说，Office 2007 格式的 office 文档，如 docx、xlsx 等，实际上是一个 .zip 压缩包。如果一个 docx 模式的 Word 文档里有图片，有文字，你把扩展名 .docx 改变 .zip，再解压缩，就会得到一个 .xml 文档和一些图片文件。
