由深圳民营企业独立投资摄制的电影《走路上学》近日入围上海国际电影节亚洲新人奖。这部儿童题材的影片将与另一部中国影片《扎赉诺尔》以及日本片《恋极星》、韩国影片《超度绯闻》等角逐亚洲新人奖中的最佳影片奖、最佳导演奖、评委会特别奖。

《走路上学》片名平平无奇，它其实要表达的，是故事主人公：住在云南怒江边的傈僳族孩子瓦娃的心愿。因为山路太远，瓦娃的姐姐每天只能溜索过江去上学。瓦娃的妈妈害怕危险，不允许瓦娃单独溜索。渴望上学的瓦娃只能背着妈妈偷偷溜到学校去，遇到了城里来的支教老师。老师送了瓦娃一双鞋。姐姐带着鞋子溜索回家的途中，意外发生了……一年后，怒江上终于建起了一座桥，瓦娃和伙伴们可以走路去上学了。
