PS: Many of my suggestions have already been implemented (in TMX Editor 8.0) by the Heartsome team. It's worth sending your feature requests to their support email:

They are very interested in their users’ ideas, and I think a wordcount feature ought to be relatively easy for them to implement. I'll email them too.

Export to bilingual Apr 20, 2014

AFAIK, Heartsome TMX editor can export a TM to a bilingual document with source and target arranged as a table. So, do it and count words.
