I use SDLX Standard 2004.

Does anyone know of any keyboard shortcuts for navigating between windows?

I have tried to insert some common abbreviations (using full stops) to avoid splitting of segments, but without success.
Anyone knows how?

Thank you
Jørgen

Found the answer for the segmentation issue Jun 25, 2004

I've found two comments on the segmentation issue on the SDLX yahoo group. It appears there are two ways of doing this.

The first method (for one or very few abbreviations)
When creating a new aligment, click Edit Rules (low right) in the New Alignment window*.
Since the default segmentation rules cannot be edited, click Copy to create your own rules.

Since the default segmentation rules cannot be edited, click Copy to create your own rules.
Click Edit, and then click Add (right) to add your language, if necessary.
Click Edit to edit your language rules.
Under Exceptions, click Add to add an exception (abbreviation).
To insert the abbreviation "Mr.", type "[Mm][Rr]\." in the Before Break field, and click OK.
Click Save in the Edit Language - xx dialog box.
Click Close in the Define Rules - xx dialog box.
Click Set Active (and then Close) in the Segmentation Rules dialog box.

The second method (for more than a few abbreviations)
Create a txt file containing all the abbreviations (one per line).
When creating a new aligment, click Edit Rules (low right) in the New Alignment window*.
Since the default segmentation rules cannot be edited, click Copy to create your own rules.
Click Edit, and then click Add (right) to add your language, if necessary.
Click Edit to edit your language rules.
From the Edit Language dialog box, click Options (low left), and select Import NoSplit text file -> Without regular expressions.
In the Open window, select All files (*.*) in the File Type field, and select your text file containing the abbreviations.
Click Save in the Edit Language - xx dialog box.
Click Close in the Define Rules - xx dialog box.
Click Set Active (and then Close) in the Segmentation Rules dialog box.

* This can also be accessed this way:
Launch SDLX, select Options in the Tools menu, and click Segmentation rules.

If you have comments or questions, please let me know.
