Just found a very useful pdf explaining the interconversion of TMs made by various CAT tools (Trados, Transit, DejaVu, SDLX) via TMX files:

It appears to be quite recent(c2004).

A very helpful document.

Wish it had a problem solving section too, I keep getting problems importing Wordfast into Trados.
