Dear colluages,

I am having a problem with translating theUnicode text in TRADOS (particularly for the Vietnamese language). Is there anyone having the same problem? How is Unicode text handled in Trados? Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

HI,

I'm Pham Long from Vietnam, I also have the problem in Trados, but I find a way to get around. Here how to do:

-In Trados, You must use Vietnamese Input (In Control Panel, Language setting)
_the Vietnamese typing must be a software that use the VI input, they are NOT Unikey, VNI Tan Viet,or Vietkey, otherwise, You can not get the Vietnamese after you close your Translation Unit !

The level of unicode support depends on which Trados version you're using - this article from the Trados KB describes some of the restrictions.
