I am translating HTML documents with Tag Editor, and want to edit the target text after translating is finished. I have clicked on the edit tab, but I don't seem to be able to change anything in the text. I have tried editing before I save the translated text and after I have saved it as a bilingual file, it doesn't work in either case. Any ideas where I am going wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Not like editing in Word
Jul 10, 2003
Unfortunately, TagEditor doesn't let you make amendments to files in the same way you would in a Word document, i.e. typing straight in. Instead you have to open each segment you want to edit using Workbench, just as you do when translating. It's infuriating, but saves you deleting some potentially important links embedded in the text. Hope that helps.

Yes you can

You can from the bilingual .ttx file, which you can then edit and then save as your clean monolingual translated version.

Thank you, that wasn't quite clear to me after reading the manual - it is now working. Still a lot to learn ..
