Hi there,
I need help! A client sent me some project in Multilizer. I'm only editing, not translating the strings. My two main problems are as follows:
1) I know that a purple cell means that the string needs to be shortened. But there are _several_ shades of purple. Are the light purple cells still too long?
2) Once I've edited a string, I'd like every reappearance of it further down the document to be automatically modified. How can I set up the program t... See more Hi there,

Hi Karin,
you should mention which version of Multilizer you are using, but I hope to help you even with that piece of information:
1) Generally, all purple shades mean the string is too long. The shade of purple tells you roughly the percentage. So for instance, if a target string is 50% longer than its source string, the shade of purple will be in fact nearly red. But you should check this with your client. A well-prepared program allows for longer translations.

Yes, that's what I assumed but, this being a monster of a project at 80K+ words, I'm beginning to see *all* cells in a certain pale shade of purple.
Is there any way that I can filter out all the white cellls and see only those purplified?

That box is checked in my document settings. It doesn't seem to be working now that I'm editing, though.
Thanks again for your help... I'll ask my client too to in order make extra sure I'm not missing anything, but unfortunately they aren't familiar with Multilizer either. ):

Hi Karin,
unfortunately, I'm no expert on Multilizer either: just had a few opportunities to use it for l10n. I usually use Passolo or RC WinTrans.
If you are just editing, then your client probably has the project from somewhere else, so they might pass your query further on.

I tested automated translation of duplicates in Multilizer 6.1.41. It worked just in the way it should. So my guess is that some of rows don't get translated because they are already in translated state for some reason. Just to mention, "translate duplicates automatically" doesn't overwrite anything in your project -- therefore my guess above. (This behaviour can be configured in later Multilizer versions, but that doesn't help now.).
Regarding the shades of blue, Multilizer 6.x doesn't allow you to sort/filter rows by that color.
