Hello, I am a freelancer planning to leave my own country and I have read good things about Malta, especially in terms of taxation and healthcare. Can someone offer his own opinion? How does Malta compare to other popular destinations like Ireland in the EU (at least Ireland was popular some years ago, I don't know about it now)?

If you go to the "Translators & Interpreters" directory here on Proz, and type "Malta" into the "country of residence" field, you will get nearly 200 results. Perhaps you could contact some of them directly.
