Katharine Allen (United States)
Bio: Katharine Allen is co-President of InterpretAmerica, an organization dedicated to raising the profile of the interpreting industry, which hosts the annual InterpretAmerica Summit. She also trains interpreters and interpreter trainers, and provides curriculum design and review for academic and licensed training programs. Clients have included Kaiser Permanente, the Department of Defense, Glendon College of Translation and the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She is a published author, including co-authorship of the newly published The Community Interpreter (R): An International Textbook. Katharine is a frequent public speaker at conferences nationwide. Katharine also provides language access consulting services to hospitals. She is an active interpreter and translator for state and local governments, health services, and courts. Katharine holds a Master’s Degree in Translation and Interpretation (MATI) from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.

Bio: Paul Urwin is a languages entrepreneur, speaker and coach with many years’ experience in the fields of translations, language teaching and voiceovers. He was educated at Wellington School, Imperial College London and RWTH Aachen. He is currently CEO of 100 Percent Languages Ltd., a UK-registered holding company specializing in language services worldwide and Director of Inglés Bogotá, one of Colombia’s premier Language Services Providers (LSPs) offering language instruction, translations, conference interpreting and voiceovers. Paul himself is a voiceover talent having recorded for Ford, Totto, Telmex, Claro and GlaxoSmithKline, amongst many others, and hosts two successful podcasts, the 100 Percent Business English Podcast (for English learners) and the 100 Percent Translations Podcast (for translators) both of which can be found on iTunes and Stitcher.

Bio: With a B.A. in Translation and an English Teaching Degree, both from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (Brazil), Fernanda Rocha has been an English into Brazilian Portuguese translator since 2001 and her main working fields are marketing/market research, medical, IT, games and literature/fiction. Being a ProZ.com volunteer since 2008 and a speaker in national and international conferences since 2009, she seeks to share materials, tips and experiences on how to get started in the translation industry, professional and succe$$ful attitude, online presence, technology, quality of life, negotiation, among other topics. Bio: My name is Triston and I translate stuff! I've been working in Spanish to English translation since 2007, mostly focusing on financial and legal texts, though I've translated a few video games over the years as well. I opened T.A.G. Translations and Design with my wife, Gaby, in 2010. We mostly support internet marketers and those working in search engine optimization. We also host a YouTube channel with tips and tutorials for translators and other small business owners that want to grow their businesses online. We have tutorials on how to build websites, how to optimize those sites so that they appear in Google searches, and even how to optimize and customize your ProZ.com profile.

Bio: Lucia -Lu- Leszinsky is a Spanish-English translator and interpreter, and a short-story writer.
