I was born in Bergama, Turkey in 1981. I attended primary school in Bandırma and completed my secondary education (1992-1998) at Akhisar Anatolian High School, a state school following an extensive curriculum in English & German.

After spending 10 years in Istanbul for academic and professional reasons, I moved to Antalya in 2008. I'm married, with a daughter.

Apart from language work and linguistic endeavors, I'm an amateur musician keenly interested in the legendary tradition of Rembetico. I play bouzouki, baglamadaki and Turkish sazi with unbounded enthusiasm. I also play tennis at advanced level and have won several awards at local tournaments. Since I'm an islander by descent, I have an inexpressible liking for the sea. I don't miss any opportunity of sailing and diving.
