Hindi (हिन्दी), or more precisely Modern Standard Hindi (मानक हिन्दी), is a standardised and Sanskritised register of the Hindustani language. Hindustani is the native language of people living in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and parts of Rajasthan. Hindi is one of the official languages of India.

Hindi is world's third most widely spoken language. The increase in the terms of numbers of Hindi speakers in India and abroad into the international workforce has resulted in the demand of English to Hindi Translation to acheving a bussiness goal in India. Hindi language is direct descendant from Sanskrit through Prakrit and Apabhramsha.

The constitution of India, adopted hindi in 1950, declares Hindi shall be written in the Devanagari script and will be the official language of India. It is not easy to delimit the borders of the Hindi speaking region. More than 180 million people in India speaks Hindi as their mother tongue. Another 300 million use it as second language. Outside of India, there are 100,000 Hindi speakers in USA; 685,170 in Mauritius; 147,000 in Uganda; 5,000 in Singapore; 890,292 in South Africa; 232,760 in Yemen; 8 million in Nepal; 20,000 in New Zealand; 30,000 in Germany.
