1. Che significato ha per me la frase “Il lavoratore deve prendersi cura della propria salute e sicurezza e di quella delle altre persone presenti sul luogo di lavoro” (art. 20 D.Lgs 81/2008)
a. Credo che sia un modo per sollevare il datore di lavoro da alcuni doveri, caricando su di noi la responsabilità di doverci preoccupare, non solo della nostra sicurezza, ma anche di quella dei nostri colleghi;
b. Trovo che sia un modo molto corretto per sensibilizzare ciascuno di noi ad avere cura sia della nostra salute e sicurezza, sia di tutte quelle persone
(clienti, fornitori, colleghi, etc) che possono subire eventuali danni dal mio lavorare senza attenzione;
c. Ai miei colleghi non piace essere ripresi da un altro collega, ti invitano a pensare ai fatti tuoi, quindi io penso solo alla mia salute e alla mia sicurezza.
2. Ritengo che il mio lavoro in questa azienda sia sicuro (per la mia salute e sicurezza) perché:
a. Gli impianti e le macchine sono a norma, le procedure di lavoro sono chiare e adeguate, i dispositivi di protezione individuale vengono messi a disposizione, c’è un servizio di prevenzione e protezione che monitora costantemente i livelli di sicurezza;
b. Ci sono macchine, impianti, procedure, dispositivi di protezione individuali a norma, perché ciascuno di noi è ben consapevole dei rischi che corre e perché vi è un buon sistema di relazioni fra tutti i soggetti della sicurezza;
c. Siamo stati formati e informati sui rischi specifici della nostra mansione, stiamo attenti e vigili quando lavoriamo, c’è un buon clima di lavoro e di dialogo in reparto, segnaliamo ogni anomalia al capoturno.
3. Quale di queste descrizioni si avvicina di più all’idea che ho del Servizio di Prevenzione e Protezione presente nella mia azienda:
a. È un ufficio dove le persone che ci lavorano trovano soluzioni per migliorare costantemente i livelli di sicurezza nell’azienda, sulla base anche delle segnalazioni che arrivano dal personale operativo;
b. È un ufficio dove le persone che ci lavorano trovano soluzioni per la nostra sicurezza ma, non svolgendo direttamente loro il loro, diventa difficile applicare alla lettera ciò che chiedono;
c. Ogni tanto vedo qualcuno passare in reparto e chiedere se abbiamo delle osservazioni da fare, ma non ne capisco il senso perché le macchine sono tutte sicure e noi siamo esperti del nostro lavoro.
4. Ogni volta che entro in azienda:
a. Penso che la responsabilità della salute e la sicurezza del mio lavoro siano un problema che riguardi solo il mio datore di lavoro;
b. Mi ricordo ogni giorno che i macchinari, i colleghi e io stesso possiamo essere fonti di pericolo tali da mettere a rischio la salute e la sicurezza di chi lavora;
c. Credo che l’azienda abbia fatto di tutto per garantire ottime condizioni di sicurezza per noi lavoratori e che non sia necessario avere altre attenzioni.
d. Sono convinto che la mia esperienza professionale sia la migliore garanzia per evitare di mettermi a rischio sul lavoro.
5. L’ attrezzatura su cui lavoro, pur non creando alcun problema da punto di vista produttivo, da qualche giorno mi sembra faccia un rumore insolito:
a. Continuo regolarmente il mio lavoro e decido di aspettare ancora qualche giorno per vedere se persiste il rumore;
b. Provo a capire, sulla base della mia esperienza, quale potrebbe essere il problema e, nel frattempo, continuo a lavorare;
c. Chiamo il capoturno per informarlo del rumore insolito e mi assicuro che ci siano tutte le condizioni di sicurezza per poter continuare il mio lavoro;
d. Faccio presente il problema al manutentore mentre lo incontro alla macchinetta del caffè e mi sento tranquillo perché lui ha ridimensionato la mia preoccupazione.
6. Quando faccio il turno di notte:
a. Sono talmente abituato che non mi crea nessun tipo di problema, sono sveglio e attento come se fosse un turno di giorno;
b. Mi rendo conto che a volte sono più stanco, faccio più fatica a tenere la concentrazione su ciò che sto facendo ma non rischio niente grazie alla mia esperienza;
c. Credo che sia un turno di lavoro più pericoloso degli altri e che quindi sia necessario avere molta più attenzione verso di noi e gli altri.
7. Se il mio capoturno mi chiede di dargli qualche consiglio per svolgere al meglio il suo ruolo gli direi:
a. Se vuole essere ascoltato da tutti, deve essere coerente con quello che dice e quello che fa;
b. Non deve avere delle preferenze per qualcuno;
c. Valorizzare ciò che facciamo bene e non solo richiamarci per ciò che sbagliamo;
d. Aiutarci a collaborare insieme, riducendo al minimo la competizione fra noi;
e. Essere interessato alla nostra sicurezza, oltre che alla produzione;
f. Saper riportare alla dirigenza le nostre richieste.
8. Da qualche tempo, la direzione ha messo dei cartelli con messaggi che invitano tutti noi lavoratori ad essere più responsabili della nostra e altrui sicurezza:
a. Non sono di nessun aiuto, quando li ho letti una volta non li guardo più;
b. Mi sembrano una buona idea, anche se mi piacerebbe che le frasi fossero il risultato di qualcosa che viene da noi;
c. Ogni volta che li leggo ricordo a me stesso che voglio tornare a casa in buone condizioni di salute.
9. In che modo sento che posso contribuire a migliorare le condizioni di sicurezza della mia azienda:
a. Segnalando qualsiasi anomalia o criticità al mio capoturno e al rappresentante dei lavoratori della sicurezza e verificando la soluzione di quanto segnalato;
b. È un problema che non mi riguarda, c’è il capoturno e il Responsabile del servizio di prevenzione e protezione che si devono occupare della sicurezza;
c. Non lo so, ma vorrei saperlo perché, diverse volte, ho provato a segnalare situazioni pericolose, ma non ho avuto riscontri.
10. Indica quale suggerimento proporresti per migliorare sistema della prevenzione nella tua azienda:

a. I believe it is a way of exempting the employer from some duties, charging on us the responsibility of taking care not only of our safety but also of that of our colleagues;
b. I think it is a very correct way to make any of us sensitive to take care either of our health and safety or of all those people (customers, suppliers, colleagues etc) who could be damaged if I work absent - mindedly;
c. My colleagues do not like being censured by another colleague, they invite you to mind your own business, that’s why I only take care of my health and safety.
2. I believe that my job in this firm is safe (for my health and safety) why:
a. The plants and machines are up to standard, the work procedures are clear and suitable, the individual protection devices are on hand, a prevention and protection service monitors constantly the safety levels;
b. There are machines, plants, procedures, individual protection devices up to standard, because any of us is aware of the risks he takes and because there is a good relationships system among safety subjects;
c. We have been trained and informed about the specific risks of our assignment, we are meticoulous and watchful during work, there are a good work atmoshpere and dialogue in the division, we point out any anomaly to the foreman.
3. Which of the following descriptions is more similar to my idea about the Prevention and Protection Service in my firm:
a. It is an office in which the employees find solutions for improving constantly the safety levels in the firm, also according to the signals coming from the operating staff;
b. It is an office in which the employees find solutions for our safety but, due to the fact they don’t make correctly their tasks, it is difficult to follow their instructions literally;
c. Sometimes I someone in the office asking if we have any observations to make, but I do not understand the sense, because the machines are all safe and we are expert in our work.
4. Every time I enter the firm:
a. I think that responsibility of health and safety of my work only regard my employer;
b. I remember every day that the machines, colleagues and myself can be danger sources able to put at risk health and safety of other workers;
c. I believe that the firm took any measures to grant best safety conditions for us workers and therefore that it is not necessary to have other care.
d. I am sure that my professional experience is the best warranty to avoid taking any risks at work.
5. The equipping on which I work, even if not creating any problem about production, has been making a strange nois in the last days:
a. I go on regularly with my work and decide to wait some days in order to see if the noise hangs on;
b. I try to understand, according to my experience, what the problem could be and in the meanwhile I keep on working;
c. I call the foreman to inform him about the unusual noise and I assure that there are all the necessary conditions to go on with my work;
d. I explain the problem to the maintenance worker during a coffe break and I feel quiet because he reduced my worry.
6. During the night shift:
a. I am so used that it causes no problems, I am awake and meticulous as during the day shift;
b. I note that sometimes I am more tired, I need more effort to keep concentrated on what I am doing, but I do not take any risk thanks to my experience;
c. I think that it is a more dangerous shift and therefore that it is necessary to be more careful to us and to the other people.
7. If my foreman asks me to give him advice to be efficient in his role, I would tell him:
a. If he wants to be followed by all, he has to be coherent with what he says and what he does;
b. He must not make favouritisms for anyone;
c. To evaluate what we make well and not only to blame us when we make a mistake;
d. To help us collaborate together, reducing to the minimum the competition among us;
e. To be interested in our safety, not only in our production;
f. To be able to report to direction our requests.
8. The direction has been hunging since some time some posters with messages inviting all us workers to be more responsible about our and others’ safety:
a. They are not helpful, after reading them once, I do not look at them any more;
b. I think they are a good idea, even if I would like that the sentences are a result of something coming from us;
c. Every time I read them, I remember to myself that I want to come back home in good health conditions.
9. How do I feel I can contribute to improve the safety conditions of my firm:
a. Signalling any anomaly or criticality to my foreman and to the safety workers’ representative and checking the solution of what signalled;
b. This problem does not involve me, the foreman and the prevenction and protection service Foreman have to take care of safety;
c. I don’t know, but I would like to know, because I tried a lot of times to signal dangerous situations, but I did not receive any reply.

English to Italian: Children with Disabilities in Niger to Receive Food Assistance General field: Medical Detailed field: Medical (general)
Source text - English Children with Disabilities in Niger to Receive Food Assistance
Funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the U.S. non-profit Counterpart, each month almost 1,600 people with disabilities – most of them blind – will benefit from the initiative. Impoverished children with disabilities in the capital of Niger will receive two meals a day as part of a new one-year program to reduce malnutrition and keep kids in school.
While most food assistance programs concentrate activities in rural areas, the International Food Relief Partnership will focus on urban poverty.
Elsewhere in Niger, Counterpart is helping communities to overcome food insecurity through nutrition, agricultural training and other activities through 2013..
In addition to Niger, Counterpart currently has operations in 20 countries in Africa, Europe and Eurasia, South and Central Asia, Near East, Latin America and the Caribbean.
