Sharing experience and passing on best practices: where do they lead? To fruitful networking with colleagues? Or to losing your competitive edge by giving away your secrets? I have never felt the threat of the second – but rather enjoyed the first, as a conference speaker, a trainer through the web, and a teacher at university.
Conference talks and workshops
A regular speaker at ATA, AIPTI and ProZ conferences, I have held over a dozen lectures and workshops to date. Click on the links to see the contents of the sessions as well as audience feedback.
As part of the Solidarités internship programs in 2009 and 2010, I held two sets of 10 training sessions. Each webinar lasted between 2 and 3 hours, and was open to all members of the Solidarités team. The following topics were covered:

I taught scientific terminology and translation (English<>Hungarian) to groups of undergraduate students with a scientific translation minor and a mathematics or physics major (Eötvös University, Budapest, between 1996 and 2001).
